ExitPoint'S Top 10 List
New to ExitPoint® or been around awhile? Here's our own Top 10 list of useful program features you may not have noticed (with apologies to David Letterman).
Create and save your own searches or use default searches
One of ExitPoint's most useful features is its searching capability. This is particularly useful when you have a large number of securities displayed. Click on the "Search" button for a quick and easy way to eliminate from view the data you don't want to look at, leaving only the data that interests you. You can create your own search from scratch or use one of ExitPoint's preset searches such as "Rocket Launchers" (example: gains > 10% for securities held < 90 days), "True Stars," "Old-Timers" and many more. You can also save a search you have created or modify an existing saved search. Also note how the portfolio summary in the upper right corner contains only information from the filtered search. Use the sort feature to display your portfolio the way you want.
The ability to sort data by different criteria allows you hone in quickly on the information most important to you. For example, you may want to segregate stocks from funds and options, quickly determine your winners and losers by displaying the most profitable stocks down to the least profitable, show today's largest gainers down to the largest losers, or show your portfolio from longest-holdings down to shortest. Whatever criteria you select, ExitPoint® provides you maximum flexibility in determining how you want the data in your portfolios displayed. Just click on the "Sort" button to customize your display. Use the multi-functional email alert to set buy stops
Did you know you can create multi-functional email alerts tied to virtually any price movement strategy? For example, you can easily create a Buy Stop alert recommending the repurchase of a stock that was previously sold if it breaks through its former high by a certain percentage. Similarly, alerts for spreads in price movement, up or down, can also be scheduled. The multi-functional email alert is one of ExitPoint's most powerful features.
Set an automatic snapshot of your portfolios for later review.
ExitPoint's new My Snapshots feature allows you to take and preserve manual or automatically scheduled snapshots of your Accounts, your Portfolios or your ExitPoints for later viewing, printing or exporting to Excel. Schedule a daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly snapshot or take and preserve "whenever the mood strikes you" snapshots of your investments. Later you can review this historical data using ExitPoint's advanced search and sorting features. Compare ExitPoint's one-of-a-kind "My Snapshots" feature to the limited transaction history stored by your online broker. Just click on the "My Snapshots" tab or, to take a manual snapshot, click on the "Take Snapshot" icon in the upper right corner of the My Accounts, My Portfolio or My ExitPoints web pages.
Use the "My Charts" feature for a quick view of your investment performance.
Instantly create vivid graphical displays of values, costs, gain or loss, percentage holdings, Sell Alert percentages, ExitPoint® strategies and more. You'll see that a picture truly is worth a thousand words. Just click on the My Charts tab to get started.
Use target prices to tighten your exit point when you're way ahead.
One of the beauties of ExitPoint is its simplicity without sacrificing effectiveness. For those with specifically defined price appreciation goals for a security they have purchased, ExitPoint provides an additional strategy setting called "Target Price" that takes into account these goals. This entirely optional feature allows users to enter a specific price they are hoping to a security will reach. If the security appreciates to the point that the price is reached, ExitPoint will automatically tighten the percentage spread below the current price at which ExitPoint will trigger a Sell Alert.
Use the drop down help menus, tip buttons or comprehensive instructions.
Whether you're an experienced computer geek or a computer neophyte, ExitPoint® is designed as intuitive, point and click easy-to-figure-out software. But we don't stop there, with customized help menus (see the upper right corner of the page) and helpful explanatory
boxes and

Email alerts are great. But what if you're not at your desk or traveling without your computer? With ExitPoint's email alerts "text-only" feature, you can receive the same timely alerts on your phone, Blackberry®, PDA or other mobile device. Simply check the "Send in Text Format Only" box when creating your alert.
Check the cash dividend summary of your stocks and mutual funds.
Click on the drop down menu to the left of a security symbol and select "Cash Dividends." You'll see all the dividends your stock or mutual fund has earned. Then click on the
icon to the right of the security symbol. You'll see your cash dividends summarized as well as your total return (gains plus dividends). Use the "My Broker" page to instantly link to your brokerage account.
Time is money so why waste any? With over two dozen links to the most popular online brokers, you can instantly link to your brokerage account directly from ExitPoint® to speed the entry of your brokerage orders. Just click on the checkbox underneath your favorite broker(s) and the login page of the checked brokerage account(s) will open automatically every time you click on the My Broker tab.
